The scheme states that within five years of the scheme’s notification, all new commercial four-wheelers must also transition to electric vehicles.

Under the scheme, all license fees and fines collected will be deposited into the State Electric Vehicle Fund. This fund will be utilized to support activities aimed at promoting various types of electric vehicles and their infrastructure development.
The government intends to regulate aggregators and delivery service providers operating in Delhi, ensuring compliance with the requirements and guidelines set forth by the scheme.
