Oil prices have been rising day by day. In some major cities it has reached the staggering figure of 100 rupees per litre. Is this reason enough to switch to an electric car? May be! To see if that makes sense, we’ll take a closer look at Tata Nexon in oil and gas. They are similar on the outside, but inside they are completely different. The electric model replaces the engine and fuel tank with the ground battery and electric motor. Plus, EVs are more expensive. Is it worth the price? Tata Nexon EV

Pros

  • One of the most attractive SUVs under 4 meters on the market today. Enough blue accents to set it apart from the regular Nexon.

  • Despite the electrification, it has lost none of the qualities that made it a great little SUV. Therefore, the passenger area and the trunk remain unchanged.

Cons

  • Well packed with features. Strong security package.
  • It looks better than all of its competition
  • Build quality is impressive

Tata Nexon

Cons

  • The automatic transmission is an AMT
  • Fit and finish could have been better

What the Nexon EV lacks is the Xpress Cool function, which cools the passenger compartment faster, and the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS). While the Xpress Cool function, or lack thereof, is not a problem, the TPMS function could be very useful on an electric vehicle, as low tire pressure increases rolling resistance, making range more difficult.
