Oben Electric enters the Indian electric vehicle market. Dinkar and Madhumita Agarwal, a couple from Bengaluru, designed and developed the first electric bicycle for Indian startup Oben Rorr Electric Bike in December 2021.
The startup’s electric bike has already received 16 patents and is currently being tested on selected roads.
Oben Rorr, an electric motorcycle, has now been released for the Indian market. as it unveiled its forthcoming Oben Rorr electric bicycle, which is set to debut in the Indian market in April and is expected to be delivered in the second quarter of 2022. The Oben Rorr e-bike has a top speed of 100 km/h and a range of 200 km on a single charge. Oben Rorr Electric Motorcycle Design
Starting with its design, Rorr gets a futuristic styling with minimal body panels. It gets a round LED headlight with integrated round LED daytime running lights, split seats, a raised rear section and split grab bars for a pillion passenger. The battery pack is kept under the artificial fuel tank, which should help with the stability of the bike.
It sits on multi-spoke black alloy wheels that complement the Rorr’s sporty appearance. A sculpted art tank gives the electric motorcycle a muscular look. Overall, Rorr looks sleek and small from most parts and from other parts, making it a very modern design.
Oben Rorr Electric Hardware Specifications and Features
The hardware configurations are comparable to the direct competitors. The battery pack has a capacity of 4.4 kWh with protection class IP67. It is housed in a die-cast aluminum housing. The maximum torque is given as 62 Nm, while the curb weight is 130 kg.
Suspension duties are handled by conventional telescopic forks at the front and a mono-shock at the rear. The braking setup includes a disc on both the front and rear, but ABS was missed.
As for other features, it gets an LCD instrument panel that comes with smartphone connectivity via the Oben app. More details will be announced later when deliveries are scheduled.

Launched at an ex-showroom price of Rs 99,999, the newly launched Oben Rorr is a wholly Indian-made e-bike. The company has confirmed that online booking of the electric vehicle will begin on March 18, 2022.
