KTM has prioritized the Indian market for the 2022 RC200 and RC125 as these two next-generation motorcycles have been launched in India for the first time. A larger 2022 RC390 will also be launched soon, according to the brand.
The second generation KTM RC200 and KTM RC125 have been launched in India. The former was priced at Rs 2.09 lakh (ex-showroom), while the latter fetched a sticker price of Rs 1.82 lakh (ex-showroom).
Notably, the second-generation bikes saw only a modest price increase compared to the models they replaced. The new generation KTM RC125 is only Rs 1,375 more expensive than the old generation bike. Similarly, the new KTM RC200 charges just Rs 115 more than its predecessor.
However, these are preliminary prices that are likely to see an upward revision in the coming months. When it comes to motorcycle news, the first thing you notice is the new styling. The headlight unit and turn signals are matched to the fairing design and provide a smooth look. The fairing has a clean design and both bikes get their own set of graphics. The front screen has a laser texture.
New bits include LCD dashboards on the 200 and 125. There are also adjustable clip-on handlebars. Of the two, only the KTM RC200 benefits from Supermoto ABS, which allows the rider to turn off ABS on the rear wheel. The RC125 has a halogen headlamp unit and the RC200 has a luxurious full LED unit.
KTM also installed a larger air box that improves air intake. The heat management system was also updated. Today’s motorcycles have a curved radiator for optimized heat dissipation. Features of the bike include a larger 320mm diameter front disc brake setup on the RC125 and RC200. Suspension units for both include front forks up front and a mono-shock at the rear.
KTM India has also confirmed that the new generation RC390 will be launched in India soon. We suspect that the launch will take place in the last month of this year and the deliveries will start in January next year.
