BYD has launched the fully electric ATTO 3 SUV in India, marking its entry into the Indian car demand. Based on the brand’s e-Platform 3.0, the BYD-ATTO 3 has a bladeless battery with a 50-minute charging time of 0-80% using fast charging.
All BYD-ATTO 3 SUVs boast an ARAI-specified range of 521 km per charge. With a 60.48 kWh battery, it shoots from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.3 seconds. Some other notable features of the e-SUV are BYD Dipilot L2 Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS), 7 Airbags, a Panoramic Sunroof, a 12.8-inch Adaptive Rotary Suspension Electronic Cushion, a 360° holographic transparent image, NFC card key, and cars. mobile power station to charge (VTOL).
The list of bells and whistles does not end there as the SUV also comes with many other features in the form of an air-charger, one-handed tailgate, an 8-speaker music system, electric seat adjustment, voice control, LED headlights, lights LED backlight, multi-color backlight, PM 2.5 air filter, CN95 air filter, etc.

E-Platform 3.0 boasts the world’s first 8-in-1 electric powertrain with an integrated motor, motor controller, gearbox, onboard charger, DC converter, high voltage distribution box, vehicle controller, and battery management system (BMS).
The BYD-ATTO 3 model is based on the Dragon Face 3.0 language led by BYD Design Director Wolfgang Egger. Special mention goes to the SUV’s panoramic sunroof design which measures 1,261mm in length and 849mm in width while it is able to slide and tilt.
“BYD has two factories in India covering more than 140,000 sqm with 3,000 employees and an investment of more than $200 million. We are fully committed to India’s goal of achieving zero emissions by 2070 and will promote sustainability in zero emissions by introducing clean electric vehicles with the latest technology.
We aim to sell 15,000 units of BYD-ATTO 3 in India within the next year and plan to set up a local manufacturing plant in due course. Ketsu Zhang, CEO of BYD India added.
BYD has 24 showrooms in 21 cities in India and plans to expand to at least 53 showrooms by the end of 2023. In addition, BYD India plans to participate in Auto Expo 2023 and launch other products and technologies for the Indian market.
