Electric Vehicles: Delhi Govt Announces Motor Vehicle Aggregator Scheme 2023

The primary objective of this scheme is to encourage the widespread adoption of electric vehicles (EVs)

As per the scheme, the Delhi government has passed a bill mandating the conversion of two-, three-, and four-wheelers into all-electric vehicles by April 30, 2030

To kickstart the transition towards EVs, the scheme establishes a target of converting 5% of bikes and taxis in Delhi into electric vehicles

By accomplishing this goal, there will be a noticeable increase in the number of EVs on the city’s roads, promoting their usage among commercial vehicle operators

As part of the Motor Vehicle Aggregator Scheme 2023, aggregators and delivery service providers in Delhi will be mandated to transition to an all-electric fleet by April 1, 2030

Under the scheme, all license fees and fines collected will be deposited into the State Electric Vehicle Fund

The government intends to regulate aggregators and delivery service providers operating in Delhi
